His scope extends beyond architecture. He has owned hiring, coaching, performance management, promotions, team health, annual planning, multi-quarter roadmaps, stop/defer decisions, and a budget below $5M. At AMD he managed six direct reports; in his current work he leads a distributed 15-person DevOps, SRE, SecOps, and IT function while retaining technical accountability.
