Dmytro has spent more than a decade modernizing the infrastructure behind engineering organizations. His work has supported 2,000+ engineers, 300+ build systems, approximately 700 virtual machines, hundreds of containers, and services handling millions of daily requests across global environments.
His scope extends beyond architecture. He has owned hiring, coaching, performance management, promotions, team health, annual planning, multi-quarter roadmaps, stop/defer decisions, and a budget below $5M. At AMD he managed six direct reports; in his current work he leads a distributed 15-person DevOps, SRE, SecOps, and IT function while retaining technical accountability.
Unique Consulting turns that operating experience into bounded modernization engagements. The approach is practical: understand the business constraint, make the consequential architecture and sequencing decisions, implement with the team, and measure whether reliability, cost, delivery, or customer collaboration actually improved.
What drives this work
There's a unique satisfaction in watching a process that used to take hours complete in seconds. In seeing team members freed from repetitive work to focus on creative problem-solving. In helping businesses become more capable, more efficient, and better prepared for what's coming.
Philosophy
How we approach every engagement
Practical Over Perfect
We'd rather ship a working solution in two weeks than spend two months planning the perfect one. Real systems in production teach us more than theoretical designs. We iterate based on reality, not speculation.
Business First, Technology Second
The best automation is invisible — it just makes work easier. We start with your workflows, constraints, and goals. Technology is a means to an end, not an end itself.
Realistic AI Adoption
AI is powerful, but it's not magic. We help you understand what it can and can't do today. We build controlled experiments with clear success criteria. No hype, just practical value.
Transfer, Not Dependency
Our goal is to make your team self-sufficient. We document everything, train your people, and build systems you can maintain and extend. You shouldn't need us forever.
Approach
Every engagement starts with understanding. We don't come with pre-baked solutions or vendor partnerships pushing specific products. We come with questions — about your workflows, pain points, constraints, and goals.
Then we build. Sometimes that means a quick automation that saves hours every week. Sometimes it's a longer-term transformation of core operations. The scale varies, but the approach is consistent: understand, design, implement, refine.
We maintain a network of specialists for areas outside our core expertise, so we can bring the right capabilities to every project without pretending to know everything.
A note on partnerships
We don't have exclusive vendor relationships. We recommend tools based on your needs, not our contracts. If the best solution is something you already have, we'll help you use it better. If you need something new, we'll help you choose wisely.
Areas of Expertise
Deep knowledge built through years of hands-on work
Platform Modernization
Global CI/CD, build and release systems, hybrid infrastructure, virtualization, containers, and modernization sequencing grounded in operational risk and cost.
AI-Assisted Operations
Controlled agentic workflows for analysis, automation, documentation, and incident diagnosis across system/application logs, Kibana, Nginx, and database signals—with scoped access and human validation.
Systems Integration
API design, source-control and workflow integration, operational signal correlation, and automation that reduces handoffs across engineering teams and external collaborators.
DevSecOps & Reliability
CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security visibility, observability, release governance, and production ownership across Linux, Windows, on-premises, and cloud environments.
Organizational Strategy
Annual planning, multi-quarter roadmaps, prioritization, stop/defer decisions, platform economics, and business cases for modernization investment.
People & Technical Leadership
Hiring, coaching, performance management, promotions, team health, executive communication, and hands-on technical direction across distributed organizations.
Selected evidence
What Dmytro has delivered:
- Reduced annual on-premises expenditure from approximately $250K to $100K
- Replaced legacy orchestration to save approximately $1M and reduce turnaround by about 80%
- Modernized platforms supporting 2,000+ engineers and 300+ build systems
- Rolled out Git infrastructure at the edge for collaboration with external customers
- Led hiring, coaching, performance, promotions, roadmaps, and a budget below $5M
- Applied AI-assisted incident analysis with controlled access and production safeguards
We're probably not the right fit if:
- You're looking for the cheapest option, not the right solution
- You want AI that will replace your entire team
- You need enterprise-scale consulting with dozens of staff
- You're not willing to invest time in implementation
- You want guarantees about technology that doesn't exist yet
If that's you, no hard feelings — we want you to find the right partner, even if it's not us.
